On the occasion of Safer Internet Month in February, Telefono Azzurro joined international partners such as INHOPE, Child Helpline International, National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, and WeProtect Global Alliance to call for safe artificial intelligence tools and a global ban on “nudifying” features.
These technologies represent a new vector of exploitation, putting women and children at unprecedented risk. Deepfakes are increasingly linked to sexual coercion, extortion, and blackmail.
Telefono Azzurro: protection and prevention always at the forefront
The Foundation has always worked to protect and promote the rights of children and adolescents, both online and offline.
With this initiative, we are sending a clear message: nudifying technologies have no place in a world that protects the safety and dignity of minors.
